Mission Statement

Since 1992, weve been developing Power Factor Optimization Devices to better serve electric utility customers. Our quest to make a valued contribution to help keep our planet green by reducing carbon footprint, demand on the electric grid and put into service means for the public to allow them to become more efficient with their use of electricity.

Our teams dedication is entrenched in our mission, which is to provide the most easily accessible, cost effective and certified Power Factor Optimization devices to the public while maintaining the highest standards in quality, service and support. The real enabler of our successes is our team of employees, distributors and supporters. Through their strong desire to achieve at the highest levels, we have managed to move the yardstick forward so we may deliver world class energy efficiency products.

In the past two years, we sharpened our focus on growth and once again the KVAR Team showed us that they were up to the challenge. As CEO, I have recently engaged and empowered the KVAR Team so we may bring more structure to reinforce and reshape our company to achieve success the right way. I am most proud of the extraordinary dedication of all involved thus far and look forward to achieving even greater results within our commitment to doing the right thing.

About Us

The KVAR Energy Savings Corporation (KVAR Corp.) began its manufacturing operations in 1992 in Port Orange, Florida.

The founder and KVAR Energy Controller (KVAR EC™) inventor, Mr. Gregory Taylor worked diligently to develop Kilovolt Ampere Reactive (KVAR) sizing equipment to accurately and efficiently determine the reactive component of power in motors. In other words, he developed a simplified way of determining the real efficiency of individual motors that are required to do work for utility customers in homes, businesses and industrial plants.

In doing so, he also developed and validated a methodology to improve the efficiency of motors by developing a product (KVAR EC™) that recycles the magnetic field of the motor and thereby reduces the amount of electric energy to do the same level of work. In technical terms, this means that he implemented a methodology that optimized Power Factor (PF) to unity or 1.0 for motor loads.

He obtained a US patent for the apparatus and procedure that allows the sizing of the reactive component. He also gained UL and CSA listing approvals for energy controllers.

Mr. Taylor finally had a product that saved energy for utility customers and demand for electric utilities. Out of these activities grew a business that really started to flourish in 2007 when two other investors and seasoned businessmen joined the corporation: Mr. Steve Fish and Mr. Earl Malisoff. As CEO, Mr. Fish set-up the business so it could thrive through a network of over 500 distributors.

The corporation outgrew successive facilities in Port Orange and was finally re-located in 2009 to the current 20,000 square feet manufacturing facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. By then, a joint venture had been established with a UK company called Advanced Power Components (APC), manufacturing was streamlined, CE certification had been secured and KVAR Group companies were onto larger markets nationally and internationally.

Starting in July 2009, plans were underway to build up the team and restructure the organization so that it could effectively deal with a fast growth sales environment, with a Now Solution’ for energy efficiency and Smart Grid. New business entities and programs sprouted out of this effort: A new Sales Channels Management Group, a KVAR National Accounts Corporation and a "Product to Mainstream" Project was formed.

The KVAR Group, through its leadership, and the determination and strengths of the individuals involved in producing, selling and commissioning KVAR Energy Controllers, is making a significant difference by producing products that reduce carbon footprint, energy consumption and electric demand on utilities and the power grid.
